Stop Human Trafficking Exhibition by the Send Them Home campaign
The exhibition and the accompanying film were developed by Stop Trafficking Africa, previously known as the Send Them Home campaign.
Join us from November 17th 2023 at 59 Greek Street, Soho, London for a profound exhibition titled ‘Send Them Home – Stop Human Trafficking’. This exhibition unveils the harsh realities faced by African women trafficked for sexual exploitation in the UAE. Many arrive in Dubai from countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya, lured by the false promise of lucrative jobs, only to be forced into sex work to regain their freedom.
The Stop Human Trafficking exhibition offers an immersive experience, featuring powerful testimonies from survivors and activists, aiming to educate and inspire action against the human trafficking epidemic. The event is a collaboration between Stop Trafficking Africa and our sister organisation, the Hope Education Project, which seeks to address the roots of human trafficking in Ghana.
The centrepiece of the exhibition is a 15-minute video containing interviews with Nigerian victims of human trafficking rescued by Stop Trafficking Africa. The video also features campaign founder Angus Thomas and the Director General of NAPTIP, Professor Fatima Waziri-Azi talking about their experiences of human trafficking in the United Arab Emirates and the challenges they have faced helping victims and prosecuting traffickers.
The exhibition video
The organizers and supporters of this exhibition, including the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons in Nigeria (NAPTIP), are working tirelessly to repatriate victims, with recent successes bringing hope to this ongoing struggle. This exhibition is not just a showcase but a call to action, aiming to empower and encourage global awareness and intervention.
We invite you to be part of this eye-opening event running until December 20th 2023. Your visit not only spreads awareness but also supports the cause of ending human trafficking.
